real talent are hard to find out and those that dislike your arrangement are basically:
1. jealous
2. think that they can do better (most likely the answer is no)
3. didn't like the original song at all
4. just want to make someone irritated (so screw them)

It is obvious that shinichi likes ran. When he is about to act as a decoy he ask haibara to tell her (ran) that he always stand beside her (ran again). You can see that haibara is about to cry it's her feeling that's hurt by his word.
