Thanks for the reply! The main reason why I'm interested in gyaru culture is because I find fashionable Japanese men attractive. Even if it sounds rather shallow, that's the main motivation. However, over time, I learnt that there's more to this subculture...and that itself is interesting enough. If you don't mind, I'd greatly appreciate it if you can explain me the Origins/causes/motivations of gyaru culture. Is it because young people in Japan want to free themselves from traditional culture by experiencing new ways from other ideas?
