"Fusion of western and chinese music"

Born 1984 in a charming & artistic German town, Böblingen, Edo started learning Guitar at the age of nine. A decade of professional training has built solid foundation for Edo.

As one of the founders for the Swabian Heavy Metal Band - Urknall which was established in 2001, Edo was the Solo Guitarist and composor Urknall.

Then he moved on to Free of Charge, another Indie Band, being the Solo Guitarist for 2 years since 2004.

At the beginning of 2005, Edo started learning Erhu (Chinese Violin) and created the innovative fusion music which smartly mixed Eastern setiment and Western Techniques. Natually this shapes Edo's unique music style therefore it also provides a solid base for Edo to form his own school of thoughts.

One cannot simply classify Edo's music by the conventional categories such as Rock'n Roll, Metal, Jazz or Classic. From his music, the audiences could experience a new style which is an expression of Erhu's Blue through Western performance techniques.


1984年出生于德国的Böblingen。 9岁开始吉他学习，10年专业的吉他学校训练为他的音乐创作打下 了扎实的基本功。

2001年参与组建了重金属乐队Urknall，并且担任乐队主 音吉他手及作曲，这是一支具有斯图加特地方特色的重金属乐队，歌 词均由斯图加特方言写成。

2004-2006年，参与了另外一只Indie的乐队Free of Charge，担任主音吉他。

2005年开始自学二胡并且逐渐单飞，尝试创作西方音乐与中国民 乐的Fusion。这使得他的音乐风格发生了巨大的转变，从摇滚 和重金属迅速转变成极具个人特色的音乐风格。

艾铎的音乐并非单纯意义上的摇滚，重金属，爵士或者古典，而是将 二胡悠扬哀伤的音色引入西方现代音乐中，甚至融合了电子节，是现 代的西方音乐与中国古典乐器有机的结合。
