I am a traditional potter in Bantam Connecticut . I make a lot of flowerpots for historical gardens . My apprenticeships were at older shops in North Carolina , Wales and Northern England . In those communities I started playing " Home made music" . on : Banjo first then Anglo concertina then open tuning guitar .I am so busy as a potter that I am using youtube as the place to meet other musicians who like playing the same kind of music I enjoy .. All the best to all here .
About Me:

I am fascinated with the vitality and life of older pottery and the quality of description in song and melody in older songs and tunes . Finding a true voice that resonates now while understanding what made these older inspirations so good is a life's work . My father once wrote. "Tradition is not a form to be imitated but the discipline that gives integrity to the new" Robert Jay Wolff 1949

No problem. What brought me here to your channel was your pottery videos. i've been working on the potters wheel for almost 4 years now, and reccently i've bee ntaken away from being able to work on the potters wheel, and watching the vidoes have givin me some inspiration and ideas, also, it helps me remember so much of working on the pottery wheel,

Stinkbug411 : If I had to choose only one for a long trip it would be banjo but I am so happy I dont have to choose. Both have their attributes and nature and those are to be celebrated . MBOS62 I will give Big Scotia a try . I never figured out how to use TAB . It is so much easier following a fiddle player and watching people dance. Dancing teaches everything !!

Hi Guy, great songs, great rhythm and I love the pots too. Do you ever play Big Sciota? I'd like to hear your take on that tune. I'm trying to learn it at the moment from a tab of Dwight Diller's. Not as easy as it looks...!

Hi Guy. Love your vids and especially the rhythmic feel you have so well demonstrated in your playing. Kindest regards. Alex
