Jaric55, I'm not much older than you, so I appreciate the fact that you think at such a young age. However, you are wrong about law. Morals are and have always been the backbone of law. Without objective truth, we are left with the randomness of whoever is in power. Stalin was able to justify the murder of millions, including the starvation of the Ukraine because it was profitable for the State (USSR). In other words, relative to the situation, he saw it as defensible...lack of objectivity. Also, natural law was used to prosecute former Nazis during the Nuremburg trials. They pleaded that they were merely following orders, a rather slick defense. The only way to prove their guilt was to use the grounds of natural law, that which is written into the hearts of all persons. Again, without objectivity, they would have been able to pass the blame on Nazis authority for giving the command to murder.

Considering that it's a scientific fact that each and every legal surgical abortion in America today stops a beating heart and stops already measurable brain waves: If your 'choice' is for abortion you have willfully decided to kill your baby, period. Being that a choice for abortion equates into a choice for death, if you are pro-choice then you are undeniably pro-death because every abortion kills an unborn child. Do you think it's the woman's 'choice' because it's HER body? That no one should tell HER what to do with it? Is it still HER body when after a 'botched' abortion attempt the child spends the rest of HER LIFE without an arm and an eye? Two unique sets of DNA, twenty fingers and twenty toes, two distinctly different people with TWO sets of Constitutional rights. How could the woman's liberal court granted FALSE 'right' to not be pregnant possibly supersede the child's TRUE RIGHT to not be killed?!? The pro-choice position stands upon a foundation of SAND and GRAVEL!!!

Well, we agree then. This debate is pointless, becuase the constitution says what it says. The law of the land will always provide the choice. I commend you for attempting to persuade people to choose not to abort. This could be done on a much larger scale however, with comprehensive sex education, and free or partially free (depending on income) birth control. In any case, you just need to know that IF you even attempt to reduce the number of abortions through force, you will meet firm and well funded opposition by people like me - a GUYforCHOICE, and even more powerful organizations of like-minded individuals. If you do it the right way (the legal way), then you'll likely get our support. Pro-choicers do not support abortion, we support the freedom to choose.

Is that a joke? If you were "spitting," you weren't doing a good job of it. I wasn't aware of it. Are you refusing to find an example? It sure appears that way. I would not be suprised one bit though if you said yes, becuase it's painful to find out the position you're so emotionally invested in has no constitutional, legal, or scientific basis with which to support it. So, yes, continue to help people who make the choice of abortion, but realize there will never come a day when the option to have that procedure in the U.S will be taken away.

If laws were based on morality, there would be no freedom of religion, or speech, or any other kind. It would be mob rule, where voters gather to impose their moral ideas on those with differing moral systems...kind of like what anti-choice folks and anti-gay folks wish they could do.

Yeah, it is. That would be a monumental waste of time. You tell me what laws you think are based on morality, and that DO NOT have any secular purpose. There are few remaining in existence, and they are unconstitutional, for example same-sex marriage bans that violate the 14th amendment.
