I always wondered, and I still wonder, what happened to the bass in this tune. This is the same recording as the ”Encore!” album, the live album from their 1966 Japan tour, released in early 1967. I wonder why they speeded the tape up like this (or maybe the tape speed was too low during recording, same result anyway). If you lower the speed a few % you can actually recognise their voices, and the key becomes the same as their live recordings of the song.
