Im curious as to what you think of that harbor freight knife. I got one and i think its a piece of crap. The blade wiggles and overall i feel like it'll break if i hit something with it. But it was ten bucks so whatever.

cool system wish i had thought of that pvc thing for the barrel on mine. Personally i did the whole job with a hairdryer and a milk jug for the small parts and just kind of did the stock bit by bit (not sunny where i was living at the time). seems like you got a really good system going though.

It doesnt seem like theres a way to make a lasting sturdy fit between blade and stick. I tried a couple things and eventually there was definite loosening after about ten hits in pretty much all the methods i tried.

Much agreement comin from a Californian who had to wade through a sea of red tape to get a M91/30. God help you if you want a thumbhole stock or a pistol grip in this state.
