You say that I should be happy,
But there is no way it could be easy.
I am the one who cries the moon,
I am the one who would be gone soon.
You twist that knife into my heart,
Bleeding out my every single part.
There is no end to this agony,
The wolves of my sins are hungry.
I watch life from afar,
It's like bathing in hot tar.
There is no role for me to play,

I am only a human of sins,
A soul which time would never clean.
I long to be pure and free,
And begone from my wicked deeds.
Is there an end to this life?
Is there ever a more bloody knife?
I am a slave to desperation,
Being God's failed creation.
Just destroy me with your words,
Crush me like those flightless birds.
Cut me with your sharpest knife,
And drew blood from my sinful life.
There are many more reasons for what I did,
More than you ever need.
Never dwell on my death,
Never watch me draw my last breath.
It's time the world let me go,
For the river of life will continue to flow.
