I'm not really sure if there is a special function when you accept the invitation. It sounds stupid but I don't know all functions too . ^^

That's because Korean ethnic's spirit and emotions are totally different from Chinese's.
Those arguements about the origin of cultures are meaningless because culture contains each ethinc emotion, spirit and characteristics for long time, so finally having been adapted to its own peculiar one. Americans don't argue that mobile phone is a modified Bell's one
If think so, you listened to just a small part of K-music and are ignorant of Korean music. There are way more songs creative and original in K-music than such kinds of songs as you said.
You will agree, if you listen to Boohwal(부활), Jaurim(자우림), Sin joonghyun(신중현), Sanullim(산울림). Especially, I recommend you Beautiful Land by 신중현, Boohwal-회상 III (1987年) 마지막 콘서트, and Jaurim-청춘예찬. Just copy and search one by one in Youtube.
I think you may have a prejudice against idol ones.
I love to listen to Enya, Vangelis, Cusco, 70's~90's Korean songs like 부활, 자우림....
I too had had a preudice against idols , I had even no interest in them.
But as recently I happened to listen to their songs, I got addicted to them(T-ara, 4Minute).
There are many genres in music, and ppl choose and listen to music depending on their mood, time, place.
