Guixien Chu is a ballet dancer, currently dancing with Ballet West, in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Guixien grew up in Taiwan and attended pre-college in Taipei National University of the Arts, where he studied several dance forms including Ballet, Contemporary, Modern and Chinese Dance. Guixien began his professional career dancing with Zurich Ballet. Other professional engagements include English National Ballet, New Jersey Ballet and Peridance Ensemble in NYC. Coached by Igal Perry, Artistic Director of Peridance, Guixien has participated a several international ballet competitions including Jackson, Mississippi, where he won the Capezio award.
