@NoctisBeta well at the moment i would say yes becouse of it s huge oc potential and low temps. Sure nvidia is going to make strongercards but hey they are going to be alot more expansive than the amd hd 7xxx series so when it comes down to value/performance i would say that it is also very power...

try the intel burntest for a couple ours

looks nice i started out on a sx strato caster and after 1 and a half year i went to a real stratocaster made by fender wich surprisingly kicks ass when it comes down to heavy metal and clean stevie ray sound. Have fun with this one

@TheBalphazar mmm you want high performance for heavy usage well there is not a laptop with a amd 6core processor(correct me if i am wrong but i have not seen any of them) if you go with intel you can install a program called intel turbo boost and then you can get more performance out of your i5 ...

@ludjer sorry mate the i5 2500k is more powerfull than the phenom,athlon and bulldozer series.(not combined but each indvidualy) but hey amd is targeting the budget gamers and there apus are awesome and there graphics card too, only when it comes down to processors they are not as good as intel.(...

amd is for budget, Bulldozer is also not designed to run for games. It is designed for a server. but i agree that the extreme series from intel is way to expansive my persenal preference is a i5 2500k it runs better for games than a I7 2600k

@XBlindRinzlerX yup 4 gtx 580 need one and the amd 7970 uses less wattage than a gtx 580 so yes you should be fine(exept your wallet :P)

@ChristopheSterkens nou een schoolcomputer moet goed zijn voor word en exel etc. Dit mobo is eigenlijk bedoeld voor mensen die zoveel mogelijk innovatie in hun computer willen.

Voor een schoolcomputer raad ik eigenlijk gewoon een pentium 4 of core2duo met een onboard video kaartje.

i am going to get a normal hd 1080p monitor from 100 bucks and i get a hd 7950 and oc it to 1 ghz and am totaal of 600 bucks total when i have a better config than that monitor

@newbrood87 yes and you dont see a performance difference with pci 3.0(2 or 3 fps maybe) my gtx 560 ti twinfrozr 2 oc edition in sli had luckely bricked so i have this card now and trust me it is extremely powerfull
