Hey they are great. A lot of fun, great performers, but they didn't influence Elvis, Little Richard, Scotty Moore, Bill Black or any of the other architects of early rockabilly and rock. What they do is their version of classic prototype early Sun recordings of rockabilly and early rock and roll.

Back in 1970 I was on the prom circuit opening for Jay and the Americans . Jays group was great and well dressed. One gig two guys are in the band wearing cave man rags. It was hysterical. Everyone else in tuxedos. It was Fagan and Becker. Ended up doing a bit better than my band.
