It is used in the Catholic Church on the occasion of the Feast of Christ the King which comes right before Advent. It's the right day to be in church if you want to hear the organ opened up and played with gusto and all those majestic hymns.

Just heard this hymn a few weeks ago on the Feast of Christ the King used as the recessional. The organist didi a beautiful job and really pulled out all the stops. I only wish they'd play it more than once a year. Well I guess now I can.

For a person who is not Catholic, you certainly play like you were raised in that tradition.This brings back a floodgate or memories when we, as elementary children, would sing this weekly at the Stations of the Cross. Buy yourself a Catholic hymnal and discover more of the beautiful hymns, man...

Very beautiful arrangement of my favorite Ave Maria. There is something about this composition that reaches down into the soul. Thank you for allowing us to hear it. It will always be my favorite.

This version of Ave Maria goes deep into the soul. It is perhaps one of the most beautiful and inspiring Marian hymns I've ever heard. Oh to have such talent to compose something that reahces so deeply within us. Lovely arrangement.

This was my mother's very favorite song. I buried her last year at age 99, and she was still singing it the day before she died...thank's so much for helping to keep her memory alive.

This was the exit hymn for my dear Mother's funeral in Oct. 2010. As sad as I was, I was so happy, I had selected it as we walked out of the church with the organist and vocalist opening all the stops, it made me happy for the past 99 years. She went out in glory and she had previewed the hymn....

Sorry--that was 2010. Oh well.

This is truly a classic in the genre of Latin Music. Great arrangement both vocally and instrumentally!!!
