3,367 views 1 month ago
This is a video narrated by GDB graduate Belo Cipriani and gives an overview of our program at Guide Dogs for the Blind and the services we provide.

The video begins with Belo and his guide dog Oslo (a Black Lab) sitting on the beach looking out as Belo has put his arm around Oslo and smiles.

Walking in downtown San Francisco (Belo has on a hat and red scarf) smiling as he and Oslo cross the street.

Belo talking and sitting on his bed in his dorm room at Holy Names University (camera pans along some photos of him as a teenager and young adult)
Belo washes his hands in the sink and making his way to the bedroom -- the camera then goes back to showing Belo talking and sitting on his bed.

Belo and his guide dog Oslo walking in the Mission district of San Francisco. First scene shows Belo walking down the street towards the camera and divides the shot into three different backdrops (with the same forward momentum in each). The second scene shows them walking from the side, again dividing the shot into three different backdrops (with the same forward momentum).

Belo in his office at Holy Names University in Oakland, CA typing on his laptop (close-up shot of his hands typing on the keyboard) and then a close-up shot of Oslo curled up on his bed asleep in the office.

Various shots of Belo practicing the Capoeira (Brazilian martial art): including an overhead motion shot, a handstand lift while Oslo looks on and a sparring simulation with another opponent.

Close shot panning across the Guide Dogs for the Blind National Headquarters sign.
On GDB campus headquarters various scenes including: One student walking with her guide dog down a path and another student working with a GDB instructor behind, the student making her way towards a set of stairs and stopping to pet her guide dog before walking up, GDB instructors practicing obedience with guide dogs in training, an instructor showing a student how to clean his guide dog's ears, the student puts on his guide dog's boots in the play yard and he romps around playfully.

A teenage puppy raiser smiles and puts her arm around her puppy in training (wearing the GDB green puppy coat) and three raisers with their guide dogs sit facing the camera in front of a pond.

Young puppies in the puppy play yard at GDB headquarters run in slow motion toward the camera and in the next scene a young Black Lab puppy runs towards the camera and that scene then fades into Belo's guide dog Oslo walking in harness down a busy street in downtown San Francisco.

Students sitting in the Fireside Lounge of the Student Residence at GDB campus headquarters -- they smile and talk as their guide dogs lie at their feet and another student walks by with his guide dog in harness.

A student in his private room in the Student Residence reaches for the guide dog harness and slings it over his shoulder as his guide dog wags his tail on tie-down next to the bed.

Belo and his guide dog walking along the Golden Gate Bridge (Oslo looks up at Belo and then continues moving forward).

Belo smiling as he crosses an intersection with Oslo in downtown San Francisco.
Various scenes on GDB's campus headquarters: Belo and Oslo walking towards and entering the kennel doors that say "Welcome" and have a Yellow Lab puppy photo on the far right side, A GDB veterinarian does a checkup and looks at Oslo's eyes with a light, and GDB vet technicians provide therapy to an older dog's joins as it lies calmly on a table in the clinic.

The GDB donor wall in the Fireside Lounge of the Student Residence that reads "In Honor and Recognition of..." with names of various donors who have contributed generously to GDB.

GDB employee works at his desk on his computer and an employee in the vet clinic talks on the phone.

Close-up of Belo reaching for the guide dog harness (words across the harness read "Guide Dogs for the Blind") and then he puts the harness on Oslo and holds onto the leash as they get ready to go.

At Holy Names University Belo teaches a class to students (whiteboard reads "Disability History" in the background), students faces as they listen to him speak, and a close-up of Oslo as he lies with his head down on the classroom floor.
Belo and Oslo walking on the Golden Gate Bridge as the sun is starting to go down with the flicker of car lights.

On the beach at sunset, Belo and Oslo walk confidently along the sand (close-up of Oslo's harness handle and Belo with a big smile on his face). Belo and Oslo sitting next to one another, Belo put his arm around him.

Final scene is silhouette shot of Belo and Oslo looking out at the ocean, leaning into one another as the sun goes down.
