Roofing Guide - Attic Ventilation

After hail damage a Traid resident recently hired a contractor to fix her roof. However, the roof was worse off after construction than before.

Never use aluminum ridge vents. They are notorious for leaks (exposed nails) & birds getting in your attic. Always use a "shingle over" ridge vent.

Drip Edge, Starter strip @ all edges (eaves & rakes), Ice & water shield & all eaves & valleys.

Make sure all old roofing nails are removed on a new roof installation.
