I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome after having glandular fever shortly before my 21st birthday. I'm glad to say I'm much better now, and can live a pretty normal life. Recently I learned that a friend was doing pole-dancing, and thought it would be a great way to get fit again, and increase my strength and stamina, besides following doctor's orders to exercise more because my circulatory system sucks. So I've been going round to hers for lessons. You can follow my progress here or by reading my blog (same name) over at MySpace, where I plan to post updates after each session as I learn. I'm not doing this to be sexy as I have zero co-ordination, never done gymnastics or anything and can't dance for toffee unless I have a set of steps to follow! so if you're looking for that kind of thing, you'll have to look someplace else. Grace and beauty are a long way off. I appreciate any tips/advice you can offer!
