@RogerjTurner Thanks! Van really is in a class by himself. I've seen him several times over the last 25 years, the last time being about 5 years ago. His voice is still a powerful instrument.

Only once in a lifetime does an artist come along who is so much better than everyone else that u really can't make comparisons without sounding foolish. I've never seen anybody who could dance like Fred Astaire or play drums like Buddy Rich.

Not only the best drummer of all time, but a complete freak of nature. There will never be another drummer with these kind of chops. To think otherwise is foolish.

Aretha at the absolute peak of her vocal powers! Her vocal range and pitch as well as the tone of her voice is just incredible!

This,of course, is Ray Charles before he really developed his own style. Probably about 1953. His vocals evolved into something much more original and soulful.
