@libarra81 that might just bounce off their skulls! 7.62 NATO would be available in every gun store! M14 EBR!!!! or if you were to take a chance the Remington ACR 6.8 ammo is very effective and very high muzzle velocity so that'd be useful for longer range shots.

@Ironwulf2000 Yes its standard NATO, designated L42 sniper rifle by the British used in service until mid 1990's or so. Some cartridges gave a whopping 3000+ FPS.

I'm certain early versions of the the M-14 muzzle velocity was ~2800 fps using standard NATO 7.62mm so the M1A basically had higher velocity over the SOCOM by approx ~200FPS due to barrel length.
