Although this glitch is pretty old, I learned about it just now. Basically you have to stand really close to the screen transition trigger (doesn't matter if you're facing it or not, it's just that positioning isn't as strict when you're facing away from it) and use succubus immediately followed by the axe's special attack. You can also use the same glitch to warp straight from hammer's shop up to the warp room. Some small changes should be made in the plan I used in my demonstration run:

-buy axe
-buy extra mind up (you skip the second save point in the abyss so you need one extra)
-collect ninja's suit (for money)
-skip 1k bag in the lost village

This saves around 20 seconds. (less info)
