Welcome to the First Underground Church of Knowledge. Matt Flash, a.k.a. Reverend Grindlemeister, established this "church" at a VERY apocalyptic time for America and the rest of the world. But don't misunderstand his use of the word "apocalyptic". Nay, the apocalypse he speaks of is an economic cataclysm brought on by unmitigated greed... NOT some "pie-in-the-sky" religious fantasy where all the "saved" folks escape the horrors of a "loving" God by being sucked into the sky.

Yes, forget about being "sucked into the sky," many are about to be sucked dry by mountebanks and preachers. Con artists will prey on the gullible...

So, what is the raison d'etre of this "church"? I will tell you. This shall be a place where knowledge and awareness are of paramount importance. I would like this temple to be a meeting place of diverse views.

Indeed, we welcome ALL folks to our church... and you don't even have to believe in God to be accepted. Our church will place less emphasis on faith and more emphasis on open minded skepticism. We should consider all perspectives, but we need not feel compelled to believe in any of them. So, if some of you believe in an ancient pumpkin deity, that's OK... However, don't expect anyone to encourage you to make an ass out of yourself by grovelling at the feet of some anthropomorphic phantom.

And despite our skepticism, we should acknowledge the unknown. Obviously, there remain technologies and phenomena yet to be recognized by modern science. What some consider supernatural, may at long last be explained in rational terms.

Illumination is our goal. Prometheus stole fire from the gods and gave it to man.

We don't claim to have the answer to anything... and we will not enslave you to any dogmatic nonsense. Just come in and speak your mind and listen to others speak their minds. Open minded skepticism is encouraged.
