im sure their were crime scene photos taken, but he was immediately taken to the hospital so there was really wasnt anything to photograph except the blood on the ground, they also took chapman to jail right away before the crowd could grab him and kill him, i got there about 30-40 minutes after he was shot and there was already a big crowd there, lots of cops and reporters, it was a very sad scene, one of the saddest things ive ever experienced in my life!

no, i didnt have a camera with me and i probably wouldnt have took pictures out of respect, we were pretty shook up, i was 20 yrs old and john was one of my heros, we were partying when we heard, then when we got there, we werent in a party mood any more, i saw his blood on the ground in the entryway of the dakota, right past the gate and the little guard booth out in front on 72nd street. it was a night i will never forget.
