thanks for posting this version. Michael Jayston is one of my favorite Rochesters and this version has my very favorite Saint John but I absolutely hate Sorcha Cusack as Jane.

the Czech scene starts and makes me think of Little Red Riding Hood and the music only enforces that in my head.

1973 - I love Michael Jayston but I hate Socha Cusack's version of Jane so much that it makes this version hard to watch.

1983 - Dalton is my favorite Rochester, just because of the poetry of the language (Michael Jayston, in the 1970 version, is really excellent). I think Ciarian Hinds looks most like Bronte's version though
