This is the statement of (Muhammad) Ibn Seereen (d. 110H) where the shaykh was talking about:

Asmaa' Bint 'Ubayd said: Two of the people of vain desires and innovations entered upon Ibn Seereen (d.110H), and said: O Abaa Bakr, may we speak with you? So he said: "No!"
They said: "May we recite an aayah from the Book of Allaah?" He said: "No, indeed either you must get up and leave me, or I will get up and leave." So they left, so some of the people said, O Abaa Bakr, what harm would it have done to you, for them to recite an aayah from the Book of Allaah? He said, I feared that they would read an aayah to me and distort it, and that would remain in my heart

Islam: The meaning of Islam is as defined by the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) when he was asked by the Angel Gabriel (Alaihi As-Salaam): "To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is His Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam), to establish the prayers, to give Zakah, to fast the month of Ramadan, and to make pilgrimage to Makkah, if one is able to do so". [Reported by Muslim and others].

IMAN - The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said that Iman is, "To believe in Allah, His Angels, His Books, to believe in meeting Him, to believe in His Messengers, the Resurrection and the predestination." [Reported by Bukhari, Muslim and others].

SHIRK - Basically is polytheism. i.e. worshipin of other along with Allah. It also implies attributing divine attributes to any other besides Allah. It particularly implies associating partners in worship with Allah or believing that the source of power, harm or blessings is from others beside Allah.

KUFR (disbelief) is the opposite of Iman (Faith). Linguistically, kufr is derived from the verbal root k-f-r, which literally means "to conceal or cover." However, in the terminology of Islamic Doctrine, anyone who does not have Iman (Faith) commits kufr (disbelief). The person who commits disbelief is called a kafir (pl. kafirun, kafirin, kuffar). Hence, every non-Muslim, whether atheist, agnostic, Jew, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Zoroastrian, or the like is a kafir. This is mentioned in the Qur'an:
Whoever does not believe in Allah and His Messenger [Muhammad], then certainly Allah has prepared for the disbelievers (kafirin) a raging fire. (Al-Fath, 13)

TAWHEED AL-ULOOHIYYAH or AL-IBADAH
In Shaykh ul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah's Al-Aqidah Al-Wasitiyyah, he states:
Quote:
"Tawhid Al-Uloohiyyah. That is to single out Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, in worship, such that you do not be a slave to other than Allah. You do not worship an Angel, or a Prophet, a Wali (a pious servant), a Shaykh, mother or father. You do not worship, except Allah alone; and single out Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, alone, by deifying Him, and worship. That it is why it is referred to as the Tawhid of Al-Uluhiyyah (divinity), and it is also called the Tawhid of Al-'Ibadah (worship). So in reference to Allah, it is Tawhid Al-Uluhiyyah, and in reference to the slave, it is Tawhid Al-Ibadah" Al-Aqidah Al-Wasitiyyah, page 32.

TAWHEED AL-ULOOHIYYAH - means devoting all acts of worship, both inward and outward, in word and deed, to Allaah Alone, and not worshipping anything or anyone other than Allaah, no matter who he is. Allaah says:
"And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him" [al-Isra' 17:23]
"Worship Allaah and join none with Him (in worship)" [al-Nisa' 4:36]

TAWHEED AL-ASMA WA SIFAT - Allah (swt) described Himself with beautiful Names and Attributes. These attributes are unique to Him. And no one is similar to Him in anyways. He (swt) is not like anything that the mind can imagine. Allah (swt) said: لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ "There is nothing like Him". This is usually referred to as(Tawheed-u-Asma-wa-Sifaat)
This category of Tawheed deals with Names and Attributes of Allah (swt). All the names and attributes that belong to Allah (swt) are told to us by Allah (swt) in the Quran. The Tawheed of Allah in His Names requires that we believe in each and every name that He (swt) ascribed to Himself.
7.180 "And (all) the Most Beautiful Names belong to Allah, so call on Him by them, and leave the company of those who belie or deny (or utter impious speech against) His Names."

TAWHEED AR-RUBUBIYYAH - is the conviction that God, and only God, creates and sustains the universe, that without his will the universe could not continue to exist. Failure to hold this conviction results in either polytheism or atheism.
In Surah Baqarah, ALLAH s.w.t. says:
"To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: everything renders worship to Him." (Surah Baqarah, verse 116)

TAWHEED AR-RUBUBIYYAH - can be roughly translated as "Unity/Oneness of Lordship". It pertains to Allah, and His lordship.
Definition:
Rububiyyah is from "RABB", which has three linguistic meanings:
1.Owner: The rabb is the true and complete owner. In one hadith, the Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "if you find a camel in the desert, leave it till it meets its rabb (owner)".
2.Obediance: The rabb is the one who is to be obeyed. In Surah Yusuf, Yusuf (a.s.) said to one of the prisoners: "you're going to give your rabb khamar (the king) ..."
3.Nourisher: The rabb is the one who nourishes and takes care of everything.
We combine these to get the Islamic definition of rabb: Allah is the one who creates, sustains, and owns the entire creation. He alone is the Master, the Controller, the Nourisher, the one who creates from nothing. He has the right to each and every atom of creation.
