This system is definitely intended to replace driving and conventional transport systems, including short disatns airlines, not at all to replace walking.
Coin operation is not suitable at all.

Hanging in wires is just the same as an ordinary elevator. There could be cabins w/o windows. You step inside, wait until at the goal, then step out, and no bothering about at what level the transport was. Maybe a video to look at, showing the same distance in a crowded street instead ;-)

Of course anyone can travel. Just in person, in company of up to 6, with a bike or pram. The new prolonged video version (search for "Bubbles&Beams II") shows this.

Good video. It reminds me of when I was 14 and went with a steam train for the first time. I was leaning of of the window for at least 100 km and was almost black in my face afterwards. That was 1956 when some steam locos were still in use in some places in Sweden.
