We each have a vision of an improved, greater form of ourselves that we strive to become. For college students Polzin and Trofee, this vision lives through Greatness & Co. Sometimes they tell our story. Sometimes they show up to party. Sometimes they bring a deeper message. Sometimes they just have fun. But they always create great music.
Their story began in 2009. When Polzin recorded a song concept and played it for Trofee and Young Ty, they both wanted to get involved in the project. They received positive feedback from a few songs debuting on Patrick Polzin Presents: Volume 1. Due to goal differences, Young Ty left the group to pursue a solo career. Polzin and Trofee continued recording material, and in December of 2010, they released their first iTunes single "Invisible." Feeling the need to release more free content to fans, they created "Feature Presentation," a collection of remixes, in April of 2011. The mixtape was hosted by DJ Ell and was their first full-length release.
The duo is currently working on their next upcoming project entitled "Consciousness." It will be the first of a mixtape trilogy, and will include only original tracks. These releases are only the beginning for the two kids who are working towards their dream of Greatness.
