The "Greatest Competition Ever"
Lil Jordan, this years 2010 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships Ambassador and musical guest is issuing a challenge to the Junior Olympians at the National Championship event on July 28th at Sacramento State College. Following the performance of his single "Push it keep moving" Jordan is issuing a special challenge known as the GCE to Junior Olympians throughout the Nation. In partnership with Intrinsic group, the PAUSTF is producing a opening performance at this years Nationals. The usual protocol has always been to have guest speakers and several popular Olympians inspire the children, however, this year the planning committee wanted to do something interactive with these young athletes.
PAUSTF Chair Joanne Comargo wanted to encourage Junior Olympians competing this year to be 'Champions' daily, that means on and off the track. The GCE project is designed to partner Olympians with local causes by developing volunteer partnerships with local youth and performing community service as a team. We feel this challenge is the 'Greatest Competition Ever' because it teaches children empathy and compassion. It exposes children to causes, and supports a mission to help change their neighborhoods. The GCE strategy is to show neighbors and local businesses how to become a part of a solution through combined resources,relationships and effort.
To enter your team must submit a short essay regarding their chosen mission, and create a 2 minute video of their team providing volunteer efforts doing community service.
This documentary style footage should be scored with Lil Jordan's single 'Push it keep moving' which is available on iTunes starting on 7/28/2010 all 'Greatest Competition Ever' videos must be submitted by 9/15/2010

++1 Lil Jordan will address teams in a weekly web cast encouraging the efforts of the youth. He will also showcase your submitted team videos. Our GCE You tube channel will feature videos as well or subscribe to your video site. Jordan will also be on Ustream web cast and will keep teams updated on his current projects, adventures and do live shout outs to the teams for encouragement.
There will be weekly raffles and giveaways for Lil Jordan merchandise or prizes.
