About Me:
Chris began his first martial arts training with Master Joan Richert, 9th degree black belt, in 1994 and is currently a 5th degree black belt in Grandmaster Villari's Shaolin Kempo Karate. Shaolin Kempo Karate is a martial art that combines what Grandmaster Villari calls the 'Four Ways of Fighting'. Combining formal exercises with drills in applications and combinations for self--defense a Kempokan learns to use Striking, Kicking, Locking and Felling (throwing) techniques.
Chris' TaiJiQuan training began with Master Richert learning the 37 posture Chen Man Ching Form. In 1998 Chris continued his studies of TaiJiQuan with Robert Grant in the tradition of Gia Fu Feng learning the 'Peking Set', Qi Gong and Tui Shou(Pushing Hands). Chris since learned the classical Yang form which is taught to advanced students. Presently Chris is continuing his studies of Shaolin Kempo Karate and also is studying Wing Chun Kung Fu.
