Graciousness and love is the most important (1 Cor 13:13) I completely agree you have your priorities correct! In my mind Young earth creationism is scientifically about as likely as the earth being flat , though this issue is not necessary important for the person who holds it, to the secular scientist who knows for a fact the earth is 4.56 billion yers old and the universe is 13.7 Billiion years old,  He will know if the bible teaches a thousands of years old universe than the bible can't be trusted on testable matters and will then say why would anyone trust it then for more important matters like your eternal destiny. So the age of the earth issue will be a major stumbling block to salvation for scientifically informed persons thats why the church must get this issue correct and to me the answer is obvious The universe is in fact old and the bible shows this also , check out the (OEC) Answers in Creation web site and blog on my personal web page for more detailed info.

I see, just curios. I don't really take a stance on the whole thing. I've just come to the realization that there are some things in the Bible that I just won't be able to figure out, so why waste precious time and energy getting worked up over it with fellow believers. I just got back from a missions trip in Costa Rica and I have been amazed by love, so I'm feelin more gracious than before towards YEC's. Forgive me my friend lol :)

Definately Local flood like most Old earth creationists, The only Old Earth Global flooder I know of is R.C. Sproul assuming he still holds those 2 views , If the geological column was laid down slowly over millions of years then of coarse it can't be used as evidence for a recent global  flood (which it can't be). The Global flood has way to many insurmountable problems such as fresh and salt water fish surviving in one big single salt water/mud flood , Animals getting to their respective continents after the flood without leaving a trace of them being on any other continent (why no Kangaroos anywhere but australia in fossil record ? ) etc. etc.

...And Sometimes when I meet a young Atheist who seems to have parental authority issues and is Angry I Block them just to watch them Throw a Tantrum and flounder about trying to find some Objective standard to judge me with , while I sit back and laugh , I am not called to ridicule Atheists but it is just one of the perks of being saved :D

I did not violate any Atheist Morality by censoring you , atheism has no Morality of its own, besides why should I care about your false opinions ? Its fun to occasionally block an atheist and watch him get even angrier whats immoral about that ? Don't think of me as an inquistor but more like an Editor that delets uninteresting repeat posts! :D
