i am in a cover band and i would do covers of bands such as Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Trivium, Machine Head And Pantera, I am a really Big Metallica And Megadeth. Speaking of which R.I.P Jimmy The Rev he was a great drummer, my guitaring is influenced by Kirk Hammett, Synyster Gates, Kerry King, Dave Mustaine Rob Flynn, Phil Demmal, Dimebag (R.I.P) Great Guitarist aswell and many many more.

My favorite guitar to play covers with is possibly ESP KH-2 or Jackson RRXMG both of these guitars are amazing with both set with EM 81 and EMG 85 pickups which are just unreal, they sound amazing.
My setup would usually entail Boss GT-8 running with Line 6 Spider 4 on right and the Roland Cube on the left, running through my laptop to get the best sounds ans recorded with my Phone 4 to get amazing 720P HD videos, then all put together using Song Vegas 11 Pro.

I sometimes use tabs and other times my would learn a song by ear it just depends what way i feel best at learning certain songs.
