Don't forget to tune into www.twangtownusa.com for my programme called the twangtown accordion & fiddle club. I'd love to hear your comments & ideas, but most of all, I'D LOVE some MP3s from you. Programmes can be run of course using sommercial recordings and that's fine.. However, what makes a good accordion club are the players taking part who DON'T have recordings. Whether you're from Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales or anywhere else, please send me your music for inclusion. It can be solo, or have backing and be Scottish or otherwise. Older recordings are also acceptable, possible you've got music of your parents, grandparents, uncles etc.... As long as they're of good quality.
I won't accept stuff recorded on mobile phones as the quality is very poor. So, how's about it ? First programme starts next month so get them coming in.

Thanks to everyone who has watched my videos, subscribed & left wonderful comments. It's like having our own accordion club. I'm a former full time accordionist, who had to give up playing some 15 years ago. It was a very sad period for me as I enjoyed playing and made a lot of friends over the 30 years I was gigging.
I know a lot of fellow accordionists come on here, so if any of you start getting twinges in your hand, fingers or wrists, see your doc immediately, it could save your hobby or even career. I left it too late, DON'T make the same mistake.

To pass the time I do voluntary hospital radio. I've been doing this for about 17 years now and play a mixture of Scottish, continental & country music. ALL of my more recent uploads were created using band in a box software. I type in the chords and it gives me a rhythm section apart from 2nd accordion of course. I've had no musical training whatsoever, so all my playing's done by ear.
( My ear's getting sore LOL )

Once I get my basic backing I open up the midi files in cakewalk sonar and do a lot of tweaking till I'm satisfied.
I havn't done videos because I have to record a tune in 3 separate stages because my fingers get sore with arthritis.
