Defy Gravity! A Go Weightless Experiment Challenge

We're looking for the best experiment ideas that test Newton's Laws of Motion on-board an actual micro-gravity flight!

1. Make sure to read our Rules & Regulations at the website above. You must have your parent(s) or adult guardian(s) read it and agree to it.

2. Make your video! Tell us your experiment idea -- explain what you'd like to test on a weightless flight, what items would be used to conduct the experiment (please refer to rules and regulations for list of items restricted on weightless flights), what Newton Law you will be testing/proving, and what you think will happen?

3. Email us your video! Once your video is completed, send us an email to goweightlessflights@gmail.com with the below required submission information and simply attach your video to the email. If you have trouble uploading, let us know via email and we will assist!

4. Look for your video on YouTube! Go to http://www.youtube.com/GoWeightless to view your video and click "Subscribe" to see what other students are submitting.

5. Tell all your friends to enter their own ideas! Pass it around Facebook and Twitter!

6. Deadline to submit: Midnight, Monday, August 23rd, 2010

Submission information required. The following information must be included in your email to us, to along with your video attached -- refer to "How to Enter":
1. Full name
2. Name of YouTube Username (if you have one)
3. Age
4. Grade level (scheduled to enter this fall 2010 -- MUST be in grades five, six, seven, eight or nine)
5. Name of school
6. Hometown
7. Brief description of experiment in 150 words or less (so that we are sure to identify your video entry)
8. Verification that experiment idea submitted was originally conceived by the person named above entering the Defying Gravity challenge, and not from a textbook, online source, someone other than the person submitting, or other source
9. Email address -- for verification purposes if you are selected for the final round
10. Phone number -- for verification purposes if you are selected for the final round
11. If your parent(s) is an employee of Northrop Grumman please include their name and work location as part of your submission information
