Hey Sonny, just curious: When will the Handgun Retention & Access come out? Is it going to be a while, or... . Also, I remember hearing something about a The Flinch video a while back? Anything going on about this? (it was something about faster reaction times and things like that)

hi..good work
rollthelosingdice (2 months ago)
@Atkrdu The tendons are the secret power in strength, they have much more endurance than your muscles. They keep your joints young and cushioned. Slow movements work your tendons because when you pushups the majority is the muscles doing the work. When you slow it down, you can see your elbows shaking meaning your tendon strength is being worked. If you do enough of these, they should be no problem, you'll go down and up slow and smooth without the shaking. Hope this helps

@rollthelosingdice, Thanks. I do do them slow. About 20-30 sec down & 10-20 hold at the bottom. Seems to work. I've been doing that kind of thing with everything, but I wonder Why does slow movements work the tendons specifically? I get how the exertion is longer so it would benefit them more, but why would it aim at the tendons specifically?
rollthelosingdice (2 months ago)
@Atkrdu, I know sonny probably won't respond, so I will. Strength in your tendons is what you need to generate more power in strikes. Do very slow pushups to achieve more tendon strength, I mean VERY slow. Hope this helps.

Hey Sonny, if you read this, I've got a couple of questions. One is that I've heard both sides of the idea that strength doesn't matter with Systema striking. I figure that whatever you're doing to generate force is going to be more powerful if you're stronger. What's true? Also, what's good for toughening yourself up? Anything that increases durability or vitality or whatever it would be called? Also, I'm wondering what basic concepts one would use to get the benefeits of the combative training you're referencing. I've tried doing some of the things in the video clips about the Forge & have had mixed results. Maybe I'm doing them without the complete picture & it's causing problems like cracking shoulders. Any advice for more dynamic strength training (if that's what it would be called)?
