Sherman probably was the best known tank. I mean the Russians had Shermans while the western allies didnt have T34's so to be fair the Sherman fought on more theatres.

Not sure I'd class this as a great tank battle at all. It looked more like a massacre. I dont mean that as any criticism against allied troops but the Iraqi's were completely outclassed in equipment and training and they got slaughtered.
