Music for Spirit, music for healing, kirtans, Sanskrit chants, devotional spiritual music, music for the soul, body and mind!

This music owes it's existence to Mother India. It is a blending of east and west to be sure but the roots and essence spring from the deep spiritual traditions and culture of India.

Gordon Burnham (Jaidev) is a musician and songwriter at Ananda Ashrama in La Crescenta, CA just northeast of Los Angeles nestled in the San Gabriel Mountain foothills.

His music is universal spiritual songs, kirtans and Sanskrit chants inspirired by the atmosphere and teachings at the ashrama in La Crescenta and also the Vedanta Centre in Cohasset, Ma.

The Vedanta philosophy is based on India's ancient spiritual teachings in the Vedas and the Upanishads. A cornerstone of Vedanta is that all spiritual paths lead to the same Divine realm. "Truth is One sages call it by various names" ~ Rig Veda

Jaidev was introduced to kirtan, chanting and devotional spiritual music by his teacher and guru, Srimata Gayatri Devi, a woman from India who was leader of the ashramas from 1940 after the passing of Swami Paramananda until 1995 when she closed her eyes upon this world.
