I was reading the comments...and woah, some people have forgotten that there are outdoor cats too. Wandering around in a yard or neighborhood won't kill them. I also guess you had to give the cat away from fear that it would get hurt by a dog. :( Dogs can be very vicious when upset, and cats are smaller and can get killed.

I thought the video of the cat smacking the dog was great ... I have cats and dogs and sometimes my Husky can be a bit over zealous with some of my cats and my big male cats show her who's boss. I had a cat years ago that for some reason made it his life ambition to torture and attack my dog JD ... who I still have ..he's a 11 yrs old now ... but when he was younger like 1 thru 3 years .. this cat would purposely wait for the dog to go outside or inside the house ... the cat would jump and and swat his face with claws out like your preggers cat ... the poor dog would scream and run like a bat outta of hell from the cat every time... I always thought this was funny because my dog JD is a large dog at 80lbs and he was petrified of this cat ... he loved all the other cats I had though but this one cat was his nemesis.
