my town flooded 2 years ago and the oil refinry too and spilled 72000 gals of oil in the town fema and natl guard came in.....they controlled the levees north of my county...why let it flood where they KNOW an oild refinery is? It was controlled..

The animated story Animal Farm depicts a fictitious farm victimized by greedy pigs. Amazing how many readers are drawn to blame Capitalism or Socialism for the farms failure, when in fact the problem is CORRUPTION. For some reason Corruption has the affect of mental kryptonite. Once the problem of corruption is solved then almost any system could be successful. All the best to you and yours.

For many years I struggled trying to sort out Capitalism, Socialism, Communism and determine how humanity could best maintain life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Economics takes an objective approach to understand human behavior and relies on logical progression of thought. Remarkably, my life's quest to resolve an issue that man has debated for centuries, boiled down to the "Principle of Self-Interest". A huge role in determining the Laws of Supply & Demand. Every decision a human makes is dependent on receiving a psychological or material benefit. The motivation for why we choose to drink water verses shrivel like a raison. Humanity was created as Capitalists demonstrated by the fact it is out of self-interest we take our first breath and absolutely by design. Pitted against itself it creates abundance. Controlled markets it assures scarcity and shortages.

Hey, re your response to my comment, by saying that the Third Reich was "intolerant of change" I meant quite precisely that the entire movement was premised upon some fantastic notion of a return to "pure German origins." Thus, for example, Hitler banned and destroyed many works of modernist art and demanded that German artists return to the neoclassical tradition. Likewise, while the death camps were certain a "change," they were a change brought about by an ideology of "purification" and return to origins. This is what I mean by intoloerance of change. This is what separates fascism from Marxism. Fascism always entails some myth of nationalist "purity."
