- MINI FAQ -
1) Are any of your games emulated?
A: No. None of the footage on my channel comes from an emulator, however games may be played using hardware backwards compatibility (i.e. a PS2 or PS1 game on a PS3 60GB hardware backward compatibility model). In this instance, no "enhancements" are used, such as texture smoothing, so as to represent the games in their original form.
2) How do you capture your footage?
A: All footage is ingested with a BlackMagic Intensity Pro card connected to an octo-core MacPro with a three drive RAID-0 array. All footage is captured uncompressed (720p59.97 for HD) and then compressed back out to H264. This applies to all footage as of 2009 or so. Prior to that, a different setup was used. Footage is stored long term on a DroboPro and is currently (Feb 2011) 2.7TB worth.
