Have you ever thought about getting together with The Friendly Atheist or any other secular community? I think that both communities support GLBT causes and have reasons to stand up for equal rights. Also, both communities have an interest in keeping religion from meddling in our laws. Just a thought.

Expecting others to cater to your lifestyle which is it the extreme minority is not realistic, while my beliefs are to love people of all personal behaviors, whether they are bigots, racist, or whatever hold to anyone. This isn't even a religious issue, it is about what is representative of lifestyle of the people with the very small percentage of homosexuals versus heterosexuals it is not right to expect to push that lifestyle onto the majority. Not to mention that healthwise it is simply more prone to disease, sickness and associated psychological depression yes those are scientific facts. Even the APA no longer says there is any so-called "Gay gene" it is based more about nurture than nature.

There is difference between discrimination and pushing your lifestyle on others. If you want respect you have to show the same respect it goes both ways.
