I believe airflow disturbance upset the Ellison Throttle Body Injector mixture which led to an overrich mixture......the spark plugs and cylinder heads showed evidence to support that theory.

The recovery from the right-hand flat spin was by putting everything in the far right-hand corner and holding it there, that got me into the normal erect spin from which I could recover. Alan Cassidy (author of "Better Aerobatics" which is my new bible) recomends power against anti-spin rudder, in-spin ailerons and full forward stick, in that order with a pause between each input. However, I hadn't read his book before I got into this predicament!! I also was without power, although had I of used his technique immeadiately then I may have recovered much earlier.....I will never know! I am not in a hurry to find out!

Hi, I just watched your flat spin & recover etc, and what a recovery it was.

Do you remember what control input got you into a normal spin?
