Mavis and her "muse" for 50 years

At 71 years of age this lady still owns the stage as a singer and performer. Electrifying. Mavis sure knows how to get out of the way and let the "soul" sing.

In the 40+ years since Mavis gave this performance....few would be qualified to stand on the stage with her and be in her league. Yet 3 generations of female vocalist have come under her influence as to what it means to be a "soul" singer. I hope more videos of Mavis performing live will be posted.
