About this user

We set up Golden Balls in 2002 during the World Cup in Japan and Korea. We sell Golden Balls merchandise from our site www.goldenballs.tv and Gwyneth Paltrow was one of our first famous team members. Gus played football for many years and was also a player manager, but he recently had to hang up his boots. Gus grew up working in the West End selling fruit & veg with his late father. Gus carried on working in Coventry Street selling ice cream from his van in the summer and hot roasted chestnuts in the winter. Gus does a lot of charity events including work for Breast Cancer Care and he recently worked at The Natural History Museum's ice rink . I worked in the music industry for Battery Recording Studios, owned by Jive/Zomba and met many brilliant talented people. I also worked in music management. We decided to set up our own business after our Daughter started school and as Gus's initials are GB and my nickname for him is Golden Balls, we thought this would be a great cheeky name. Soon after Victoria Beckham said she also calls her hubby David Beckham Golden Balls, but we have absolutely no business connection with The Beckhams. We have now decided to go into television and hope you enjoy watching us. In 2007 we also licensed our name to Endemol UK PLC for the game show Golden Balls hosted by Jasper Carrott OBE and the merchandise Worldwide. In May 2009 we opened our first retail outlet in London selling Golden Balls merchandise and other clothing, which has been great.
