Captured German footage from World War Two.
German army officers stand to attention by a war memorial or statue. They give the Nazi salute. A very large wreath is laid at the base of the memorial. C/U of a ribbon attached to the wreath which has the word: "Hitler" printed on it.
Military men stand by canons as an officer makes a speech. C/Us of soldiers faces as they stand with their hands on their rifles. C/U of hands. Wording on sleeve reads ".... Volkssturn Wehrmacht." Top shot of large number of men listening to speech. Wording across top of building reads: "Der Volkssturm Kampff fur Leben und Freheit Grobdeutch..." Men in civilian clothes lift rifles and put them over their shoulders. Large military march. Civilian men also march. Goebbels (?) gives Nazi salute. C/U of general and officers. Large number of men march towards the Brandenburg Gate (?)
Military manoeuvres. General climbs into tank. View from the tank as it moves along through the streets. Aircraft. German soldiers look at a bomb damaged building. Bomb is dropped. Soldiers run through smoke. Men in trenches. Men walk through mud. Tanks on the move. Tank fire. Men running and tending to wounded. Explosions. Men fires pistol in the air. Soldiers run through field. More explosions. Soldiers walk with bicycles and carry large weapons. Soldier looks through field glasses. Good footage of artillery being loaded and fired. Explosions. Soldiers running, weapons being fired, men in trenches. Bomb damaged buildings. Man on lookout stamps his feet. Men walk through snowy landscape. C/Us of various party members. C/U of an emblem on a box. SS General von dem Bach-Zelewski (?) shakes hands with officers and presents them with medals.

The 6 October 1976 Thammasat University Massacre เหตุการณ์ 6 ตุลา, was a crackdown on student protests against Thailand's right wing military government and the return of Field Marshall Thanom Kittikachorna, a military dictator, an anti-communist and Prime Minister from 1963 to 1973.
Previously, Thanom had left for exile in the United States following student and civil demands for a constitutional government that developed into the 14 October 1973 uprising.
Thanom returned to become a novice monk at Wat Bowonivet, a high ranking royal wat, and resultingly it all kicked off. The students were shown to have "antogonised" the ultra right wing by performing a political play that featured a mock hanging (inspired by the murder of three demonstartors in Nakhom Pathom). The pictures of the performance were doctored by the Thai press, so that it appeared as if the students were mock hanging Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn.
The military, the police and far right paramilitarists responded by storming Thammasat University's Sanam Luang (Tha Prachan) campus to break up demonstrations, killing (officially) 40 plus students. However, the real death rate is known to be far, far higher.
In a recent interview with Al Jazeera, the now deposed prime minister, Samak Sundravej suggested that only one student had been killed. He mocked the interviewer as being too young to remember the events, and as she was not there she was basing her ideas on "dirty histories".
The memorial graden and sculptures sit to the right of the entrance to the Tha Prachan campus, off Sanam Luang, were each year on the anniversary of the killings memorial services are held.
