I admire old cars as much as anyone, but keep in mind that back in 1957, all the cars had fins, wrap around windshields, lots of chrome and wide whitewall tires, etc...all the things that make them so unusual today. It's a 4 door sedan, not much left but the body, and that is rusted. Let's get real, not many would bother restoring this one. Looks like most of the parts were taken off anyway.

I like the sound of that big ol' 55 Caddy starting and the smoke coming from those dual exhausts. Cars like this will never be made again...

Sadly, US Route 66 was finally decomissioned in 1985. Many states have attempted to restore part of the road, but it is no longer to be found on official maps or GPSs as a US highway.

Three of my girls got comfortable with my 69 Monza coupe. Sadly that one got rear ended and was lost this past summer, once I get my new 66 Monza Sport Sedan fixed (brake hoses, rebuilt carbs) I'll probably be comfortable to let them drive this one too...

I never liked these finned Plymouths until a couple of years ago when I saw Christine. Now I realize what areodynamic good looking cars they were. I always associated this car with my uncle's beat up yellow 58 Suburban instead of a slick shiny red and white Belvedere hardtop coupe.

The Late Model Corvair was the best handling passenger car available in the mid-1960s. I've been drving Corvairs for the past 6 years and they can handle as well as modern cars do on modern roads. Great little cars that are very reliable and well-engineered.
