Great job...my left hand is crippled so can't do barres...had to develope alternatives. That F shape,is totally movable anywhere on the neck. Barre 1st 3 strings and go anywhere, lift middle finger and turn major into minor - presto.

Thumb is an important part of your left hand arsenal. But, if you don't use it, it does no good. Try wrapping it around and adding base to your chords with it. Or, like the other posters said...get it out of the way...Fantastic job...Mother Maybelle would be so proud!
