Also, if you are going to tell me about how women are to sit down and be quiet in church, and shouldn't be used in ministry, don't bother. I will use the block button there as well. God uses women all the time. Guess who taught that Sunday School class where your preacher dedicated his life to God? Most likely it was a lady.

My two favorite verses in Scripture are...Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." So true. How often do we not wait and end up falling flat on our faces?

And..1 John 8:36 " If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

Anyone interested in why this second verse has so much meaning to me is free to ask. Too much to post here.

Like I said above, I am 37 years old. I work for Hospice caring for the terminally ill. Most of the time it's rewarding and I learn a lot from my patients and their families. I've been doing this for several years now.

I started playing violin when I was 11. One morning, before school I picked up a paper that I forgotten I'd brought home explaining they were starting orchestra lessons at my school. I whimsically asked my parents if I could play violin. Never entered my mind before that. I paid $100 for my first violin. Spent all my savings from birthdays, Christmas, etc. on it. Well..now it's 26 years later. I own two violins. I had the first one for years and years until it gave up the ghost 8 or so years ago. One of the ones I own now is a cheap Anton Breton that I bought when my first one gave up the ghost. My other one was given to me by a relative. It was hand made in Germany. No one knows exactly when. This relative's father won it in a poker game(nothing good comes from gambling, as whoever lost it lost a wonderful instrument) in Germany and it was given around the family for years, before it was given to me. It hadn't been played in a long time, and needed some restorations. The face still has nicks, but otherwise it works wonderfully! I will eventually get the face redone. We do know that it's been around at LEAST since WW2.

Well, church, but Christianity and Church are a way of life for me. I have slight hearing loss due to scarring from surgeries on my ears I had when I was a kid. I feel God intended me to have this, as he placed me in the deaf ministry in our church. For the time being, I'm not doing it, but recently a chaplain at a place where some of my patients live has had me sign for their chapel services, so I do that some. A couple times a month if my patients decide they want to go to chapel that day. I don't like debating scripture or bashing other faiths, whether I agree with them or not. I will not tolerate any bashing, or debating of scripture. If someone puts it up to show something in the Bible, that's fine, but to argue scripture, I won't have it. Like a lady I once knew said,"Never argue Scriptures. They speak for themselves".
