The history of God in Ruins goes back to 1996 when it was formed as Incarnatus. The band did some local gigs, recorded a couple of rehearsal tapes and finally changed its name into God in Ruins in the year 2000. In 2001 the band recorded their first official demo Agony of the Fallen Gods which was released by a small Polish label called Apocalypse Productions. In the following year God in Ruins recorded another demo entitled God is Not and played some gigs around Poland. The band received very good reviews for both their demos. However, after some problems with the line-up the band split up in June 2002. Some members continued to play with another band called Angry Demon. Five years later, in 2007, God in Ruins reunited to record a new demo entitled Reptilian. Currently, the band is making new songs.
