As a Animator, Animation Producer, Graphic Designer, Character Designer, and Writer, Russell Harvin Sr is a 30 year old visual arts genius. Born and raised in Sumter, South Carolina, under a single mother and one sister, Russell is no stranger to visioning the beauty of art. At the age of 3, his passion and dedication for creating works of art began. Having maybe a few child hood friends allowed his mind to become very creative. When asked why he didnt have many friends he responded I didnt fit in, but I thank god for that because it gave me a lot of time on my hands and little distraction He grew very found of the cartoons of the mid 70s like Hanna Barbera and Thundercats series. From there he decided to take his artistic abilities another level. Being a self taught artist, he created his own philosophy of art and the meaning. Art is a representation of your inner spirit brought forth visually in any and every physical form. It symbolize the true definition of beauty, love and peace It also lets you know god is talking to you By the age of 17, Russell has won countless awards of recognition. Some of his work still can be seen in Congress House of Representatives building. He is currently working with many hip hip music artists such as SMG(Sex, Money & Gunz) Smoothe Da Hustler and is the newest member to SMG music family. He is also working with Animation Producer and Character Designer Carl Jones of THE BOONDOCKS Russell has recently opened his own animation and graphic design company called Caractoon Animations SP (sole proprietor). Ive been around and been doing this a long time, the things a lot of artist is doing now Ive been doing when I was nine, not taking anything from anyone but Im here to give that old feeling back to todays generation of kids. The adults from the 70's know exactly what Im talking about Russell currently resides in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with his wife and kids of 3.
