This footage is from a documentary filmed in the 70s (I think). It's on YouTube if you look for it - not film that's been kept in a cupboard for decades. If you watch the documentary, the guy set up a hide so that he could film this.

Please don't cut them with pliers - use a saw, they'll close up seamlessly if they're saw cut. When they're cut with pliers one end is flat and the other slanted, so they won't close properly.

Problem with Lush shampoo bars is that they still contain SLS - which is not good, and it also fades hair dye too. Oh, and they're expensive. I just make my own - takes 10 minutes to do, costs almost nothing and no SLS. Leaves my hair really soft and shiny too.
