I love this premise! But how could we actually make this happen with all of the aristocrats from my country building up the MIC and funding defense contractors? I trust Her Majesty more than most politicians, but this seems like this cause is almost impossible. IDK. I respect what you all are doing regardless.

A world without nuclear weapons is a more secure, safer, world. The world is not the same as 30 years ago. In today's world the value of nuclear deterrence has significantly dropped as war between the great powers has become unthinkable while the danger of nuclear weapons--the very real fact that so long as they exist they will one day be catastrophically used by accident or deliberately by a terrorist group--has greatly increased (more nuclear countries, radical terrorism). The equation has changed and whatever value one may have put on nuclear weapons during the Cold War, today's international environment is fundamentally different; nukes are now a liability rather than a benefit. Continuing with the dismal status quo means that nuclear weapons will spread to more countries and the chances of them being used will steadily increase. The only safe choice from a realistic, practical, and security perspective is to work towards and achieve global zero.

Israel definitively has nuclear weapons. They have had them since the late 1960s and having them has not prevented several full scale wars with their neighbors (1967 six-day war, 1969 war of attrition, 1973 Yom Kippur war). All of which, they emerged victorious from. It's a myth that Israel is on the verge of being slaughtered by their neighbors. They enjoy a significant qualitative conventional military superiority vis-a-vis their neighbors and their nukes are only an instigating factor for further nuclear proliferation in the middle east which will only hurt their security rather than help it. They are safer without them because it removes motivation for their rivals to get them.
