Pennsylvania lawmakers just unanimously approved a resolution declaring 2012 the "Year of the Bible" in their state. They say we need to study and apply the teachings of the Holy Scriptures because they've inspired the concepts of our government as contained in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They say the history of the United States clearly illustrates the value of applying the teachings of the Bible to society. But there are a lot more " teachings " in the Bible they may not be aware of, probably because they never bothered to read the whole thing. Now this resolution wasn't a left / right or Republican / Democrat deal -- it was passed unanimously. Nobody voted against it. So, if you live in Pennsylvania, you might want to call your state representative and ask them why they think a book full of adultery, misogyny, slavery, sodomy, pedophilia, bestiality, ritual cannibalism, necrophilia, murder, suicide, animal and human sacrifice, war, mass genocide, incest, unspeakable violence, and all sorts of unthinkable atrocities is a good moral guide for your state for the next year. Ask them how many of these barbaric practices were included in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution by our Founding Fathers. If they seem shocked that all this stuff is in the Bible, ask them how the hell they can recommend a book they've never even read! Any politician who touts their religious views as a qualification for elected office should be immediately disqualified from running. And any elected official who violates the Constitutional separation of church and state should be thrown out of office! This ain't the Bronze Age folks -- it's friggin' 2012 for Christ's sake -- pardon the pun! This isn't friggin' Afghanistan - this is the United States of America! Allowing this sick, twisted, insane and ridiculous "holier than thou" crap to influence our government has to stop. Enough is enough!

Are you human? or what :>)
and human beings are the only creatures capale to be that stupid
No other animal in nature can be able to reach the stupidity level of humanity
Excuse my bad grammar but im from mexico and im out of practice in my english , do you speak spanish ?
I think that Mr Thomas Jefferson summed up the character of this (putative) unsavoury deity pretty adroitly, a couple of centuries back, when he said: "The Christian God is a being of terrific character - cruel, vindictive, capricious and unjust."
I believe that the good Mr Jefferson also once said: "Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on Man."
Strong words indeed from a good and highly intelligent man, who believed in plain speaking, and was not afraid to express controversial views.
Keep fighting the good fight.
I just completed a video called 'The Ten Contramandments' and I'd appreciate your input.
